WITH OER • Students access free and/or affordable materials • Instructors build courses that best reach desired outcomes • Material is dynamic, timely • Educators share ideas and successes with others in their field
ARE THERE CHALLENGES? Of course! Nothing is perfect… While implementing OER, instructors must: • Vet materials and sources • Attribute source materials • Build a library of resources • Keep abreast in our fields
IMPLEMENTING OER Challenging? • Yes! Time consuming? • You bet! Worth it? • Absolutely!
