Challenging Scenarios
 Mentor is very busy so answers emails and calls during
the meeting. The mentee is getting upset and feels like
their mentor doesn’t want to be there.
 The mentee is very enthusiastic about the scheme but
is an ESOL student so struggles with their academic
work. The mentor would like some help with how to
support them.
 The pair have not been meeting regularly as they both
struggle with organisation and keep forgetting about
their meetings.
 The mentor finds that their mentee is very lively and
has difficulty concentrating during the mentoring
sessions.
