Excellent Managerial skills - From previous experience as a Manager and further knowledge acquired
frommy Masters inBusinessAdministration(MBA), I have been able to develop my Management skills.
At present, as a Project Manager, I have to manage people and their perceptions to enable them to
perform their expected task and responsibilities.
BusinessAwareness- The experiences that I have gained from my past and present employment allows
me to comfortablystrike abalance betweencommercial andcustomer needs. I am able to communicate
withcustomersandstakeholdersbothconfidentlyandprofessionally.Iunderstandthe fine line between
whatwe as a businessneedfromthe customer and what the customer needs from us. In my past roles I
have had to make shrewd business related decisions to resolve Issues on a daily basis.
Project Management- Atpresent,asa ProjectManager,I have supervised and managed various projects
which included the Standing Charge, Price Variance and Zero Prices Projects in the last 9months and
these have jointly resulted in about £8.2Mcash and protection for the business.
Leadership - This is evident in my past and present employments as I was able to lead the staff into
achievingthe company’sobjectives.Iamalwayskeentouse myinitiative andtake ona groupleaderrole.
This is evident in past experiences as a Manager and also seminars and Group presentations whilst at
university.
Adaptability- I have always been able to turn my hand to any task. I tend to be a kinesthetic/Visual
learnersoenjoybeing thrown in at the deep end. I have taken part in many different aspects of change
and progression in my few years with British Gas Business & Legal & General.
I have had the opportunitytoworkwith a variety of different people from all levels of the business. My
experience of workinginafastpacedbackgroundallowsme to make split second decisions and adapt to
them. I am strong under pressure and can motivate others when things are tough.
Analytical/ProblemSolvingSkill - These skillsweredevelopedfrommypreviousexperiencesandongoing
work.As a thinker,Iam always seekingamore effective andefficientwayof solvingissues. Ialso plan for
any unforeseen development that might arise as a result of fixing a problem by ensuring that a
contingency is in place.
Communicationskills - Developed through supportive relationships with staff and friends from all over
the world both at work and when in university. Having to present analysis and resolutions to business
stakeholdersinaprofessional mannerandcommunicatingeffectivelywithcolleagues togetthe jobdone.
Team Work - Being a keen team player, my teams have always worked effectively to meet targets and
goalssetup by the organisation.Ihave always been a participatory team member who doesn’t pride on
only personal accomplishments, but also on team’s achievement.
Organisation and Time ManagementSkills - High level of confidence with ability to work under little or
no supervision.Consistentinadheringtostrictdeadlinessetwithinthe workplace.Strategicinorganising
tasks in order of priority. I am a go getter who always sets time limits for self, so that I can always be
ahead of schedule and not under pressure.
Software Packages - SQL Language, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point 4.0, and statistical
packages.
