- 1. Strengths Weaknesses My shootingscript isvery thorough, due to there beingno dialogue,so I feel that this helpsexplainwhat exactlywill be happeningduring the production of my film. The fact that I will be usingmany different camera angles and camera movements,as specifiedwithinmyshooting script,will further make the filminterestingfor my audience. As I have already chosenmy actors it is easy to describe themwithin my script as I know their characteristics; i.e.age,hair colour, height,etc. The lengthof my scriptis quite short,as there isno dialogue,sothe lengthmaynot be correspondinglyaccurate tothe actual predictedlengthof myfilm. I feel asthoughthe timesonmy shooting scriptwere not entirelyaccurate asitmade my filmseemabitshorter,soI have increasedthe timingonsome shots. A weaknessthatmaysetme back, in contrast to others,ismylack of skillset whenitcomesto editing.Therefore,my film may notbe editedaswell assome others whose technical abilityisof ahigher standard. Opportunities Threats The use of the toy withinmy story adds a sense of originalityto my filmas it helps portray a more meaningful message to the audience,ofwhich I am very passionate. Thus because I am drivenby this passion, of helpingreduce animal cruelty, I feel this wouldhelp furtherimprove my overall short film. My choice of characters is specificto the target audience,which isof a young family, to ensure my message is properly considered. As myscript hasno dialogue itmaybe difficulttounderstandexactly whatis happeningunlessIhave explaineditin enoughdetail. It may be difficultwhenitcomesto shootingmyscenesatChristmastime as itis likelythatitwill nolongerbe Christmas whenI start filmingsowe mayhave to investina fake Christmas tree inorderto keepthe scenesaccurate to myscript. In the final scene,withthe actual dog,there will be a large riskof the dogbeingdifficult to workwithwhenI wantto get the desired shots.
