1. Identify Your ‘Objective(s)’ - what you want to achieve, be 'Specific!'
2. Clearly define your target audiences – careful analysis of existing clientele will help
identify your different audiences.
3. Implement a ‘Twitter Check Daily Checklist’ which will keep you focused on the important
actions to do as well as helping you start to build statistics on what your audience likes
which will then enable you to tailor more content your audience are showing an interest in.
4. Tweet Adder – 3/4 times a week use tweet adder ‘Twitter Search’ & ‘Profile Search’ to
build your targeted audience based upon relevant key words which are related to your
topic/industry. [Minimum 50 per day]
5. KEYWORDS - Make a note of the keywords you have found to be useful and not so useful
so you don’t keep repeating the ‘not-so-good’ keywords. I normally draw a line down the
middle of an A4 bit of scrap paper and put ‘Good’ on the left and ‘Bad’ on the right. That
way, you can keep an eye on what keywords you have already tried. You will end up with a
core set of keywords that seem to work the best.
6. Fridays – collate all the stats and review which content is being tweeted the most & being
favoured by your audience and plan to tweet similar content for the following week.
7. Twitter Following/Followers Stats – use one of the recommended free software to
monitor your weekly following/followers http://twittercounter.com
8. Or http://tweetstats.com twitter counter does include a prediction of what your next weeks
following should be.
9. Tweets – Tweet 3-4 tweets per day 1 x quote, 2 x pieces of content and a RT from
someone you aspire to or you synergise with. Streamline your twitter links using your
Facebook page content to encourage people already following you on Twitter to 'Like' your
Facebook Page as well.
10. Tweet Adder Automated Message - Create an automated message linking your twitter
followers to your Facebook page, LinkedIn or Website.
11. Schedule Content – through ‘Tweetdeck’ and engage on a daily basis and respond to
interactions – Schedule-times tips/quotes 8.30am 1st piece of content 11am 2nd piece of
content 1pm 3rd piece of content
12. Engage – Engage regularly with people who have re-tweeted your content or have
favoured a piece of your content and not forgetting to automatically follow anyone who has
re-tweeted, follow-Friday or responded to content you have provided through twitter.
