Task 1- Defining Audiences for Products
Quantitative Research
In sociology, quantitative study mentions to the systematic empirical investigation
of communalphenomena by statistical, mathematical or
computational methods. The objective of quantitativestudy is
to evolve and provide work mathematical forms, ideas and/or hypotheses
pertaining to phenomena. The process of estimation is cantered to quantitative
research because it provides the basic attachment between empirical observation
and mathematical sign of quantitativeconnections. Quantitative facts and
figures are any facts and figures that are in numerical patternsuch as statistics,
percentages, etc. In layman's periods, this means that the quantitative
researcher inquires an exact, narrow question and collects an experiment of
numerical facts and figures from participants to answer
the inquiry. The investigator investigates the data with the help of statistics.
The investigator wants the numbers will yield an unbiased outcome that can be
generalized to some larger population.Qualitative research, on the other
hand, inquiresvery wide questions and assembles phrase facts and figures from
participants.
The investigatorexamines for topics and recounts the data in topics and
patterns exclusive to that set of participants.
More generally, quantitative study is widely utilised in social sciences such as
psychology, economics, sociology, marketing, health & human development
andpolitical science, and lessoften in anthropology and annals. Study in
mathematical sciences such as physics is furthermore'quantitative'
by delineation, though this use of the period disagrees in context. In the social
sciences, the period concerns the empirical procedures, originating in both
philosophical, positivism and the history of statistics, which compare with
qualitative study methods.

Qualitative Research

Qualitative research is a procedure of investigation employed in many different
learned disciplines, conventionally in the communal sciences, but also in market
research and farther contexts. Qualitative investigators aim to gather an in-depth
understanding of human demeanour and the causes that govern such behaviour.
The qualitative procedure investigates the why and how of decision making, not just
what, where, when. Hence, lesser but concentrated trials are more often utilised than
large trials.
In the accepted view, qualitative procedures make data only on the specific
situations revised, and any more general deductions are only propositions (informed
assertions). Quantitative procedures can then be used to request empirical support
for such study hypotheses.

Audience Profiling
Audience profiling involves finding out the profile of your assembly beforehand so
that you can put over your message to the right persons in the most effective way
to produce the best outcome. It might encompass minutia like age,
sex, informative requirement, work experience, economic background, field of
work, interests, feeling, orientation, bias, food habits, religious backdrop, physique,
health condition etc.
