Task 5 - Double Page Spread
- 1. The language on the double page spread makes the woman featured seem like a typical girl, the word gossip is usually associated with women. This could mean that the woman is not a very nice person as she gossips. The phrase ‘people thought my site was bigger than I was’ suggests that the woman is probably ‘big headed’ as such. She is saying that she is something important and that her blog is just a side thing. The image represents the woman as a beautiful young person, the long shot shows all of her body which accentuates her legs. It shows all of her lovely figure which young people would be looking at as they want to be like her. The body language of the woman shows that she is confident and she embraces her figure. She is standing, shoulders back, with one hand on the top of her leg, this pose suggests that she has an attitude, and relating it to the language on the double page spread, that she doesn’t really care what the people are saying about her. The clothing that she is wearing represents her as a classy yet provocative woman, she is wearing a skimpy body suit which shows off all of her legs. She is also wearing high heeled shoes, these suggest her age, that she is an older woman, young people wouldn’t be wearing these sorts of clothing. The fonts however make the woman seem girly, the use of serif fonts suggest that she has a real feminine element to her.The colours on the double page spread represent the woman as a dominant female, the use of pink, black and white are in good contrast with each other and make her seem empowering,
