First Year To-Do List
Organization, Time Management, Training, and Follow-up
□Schedule a time to communicate with DT Training Coordinator every week in order to
follow-up on the adjustment into the role as well as bring up any concerns or issues that may be
occurring. Estimated Time to Complete: 1 day and every week for 6 months (or longer if needed)
□Follow-up with DT Training Coordinator after every initial training certification has been
completed. Also follow-up after every Individual Supplemental, SOP Revision, and Center
Notification training in order to ensure effective training administration has been performed and
that all affected center staff has been captured. Estimated Time to Complete: Upon completion of
the trainings mentioned and for 6 months (or longer if needed)
□Create a time management and organization template that reminds you of required tasks and
reoccurring deadlines. Dedicate time to each task (checking emails, performance observations,
DT mentoring, training classes, ComplianceWire auditing, etc.) so everything is completed on
schedule. Estimated Time to Complete: 2 Weeks
□Develop an organizational system for the Training desktop and office. Not everyone
organizes in the same manner, so come up with a system that allows easy location and
pinpointing of specific documents. Estimated Time to Complete: 1 month and continuous
□ Print a curriculum status report for Donor Center Technician, Phlebotomist, Plasma
Processor, and Control Desk. Utilize down time to become more familiar will all SOPs
associated with each area in order to become a subject matter expert. Estimated Time to
Complete: 6 months
□ Update GPO Trainer Guides for Donor Center Technician, Phlebotomist, Plasma Processor,
Control Desk, and Designated Trainer. A curriculum status report is a great tool to use when
updating these guides. No SOP from any module should be left out of the training process, so be
sure to include each and every reading while coming up with a cohesive order in which a trainee
will read. Estimated Time to Complete: 6 months and continuous
□Explore training aids and position outlines. Modify and create new training aids that will
assist trainers and trainees with their teaching/learning experience. Estimated Time to Complete:
Continuous
□Utilize ComplianceWire e-learning courses during down time in order to build knowledge
and skills related to relevant tasks that are performed on a daily basis (e.g. Performing Effective
Observations, Root Cause Analysis, Introduction to Error Prevention, The Cost of Poor Quality,
and Leader as Coach). Estimated Time to Complete: 1 year
□Determine which tasks can be delegated to staff in order to empower them (e.g. changing out
SOPs and delivering small trainings). This will free up time to complete big projects and
required assignments that have deadlines. Estimated Time to Complete: 1 month and continuous
□Locate the monthly KPI reports on the Portal under the Quality and Validation tab. Utilize
this report and communicate with the Quality team in order to develop ideas and systems that
will help increase the center’s KPI score. Estimated Time to Complete: Continuous
