What was easy? What was hard?
Reflect on today’s activities:
How well did you like this lesson?
Reflection
Google Slides is a great resource to use for displaying lessons,
communicating with colleagues, and even analyzing data. By using google slides
for my own classroom, I am able to bring creativity to the class, keeping students
engaged. Adding enhancements to lessons, such as videos, Kahoot, Pear Deck
interactive slides, etc, makes it easy for students to follow along, and makes
learning more interactive.
Google Classroom is an incredible resource, which allows teachers to
foster communication, boost productivity, and even record grades/data. By using
google classroom, and adding interactive assignments, students are instantly
adding their individual creativity to their work. It also allows students to become
comfortable with different types of media, and allows them to be fluent with
technology.
Reflection Continued
Using presentation platforms like Google Slides is extremely beneficial in
the classroom setting. Google Slides make sharing information extremely
accessible to students, colleagues, ect., and can be used for many purposes such
as Smartboard lessons, Individual assignments, and so on. However, there are a
few drawbacks to using Google Slides as well. For example, you must have a
google account to access google slides - this makes it difficult to send information
to families who may not have gmail, let alone internet. Additionally, for students
who have little to no familiarity with technology, the complexity of Google Slides
might pose as a challenge.
