- 7. Mini Reflection ● How can Google Slides help you share new digital resources and tools for learning? Google slides has many tools and add ons that could be very helpful in the classroom. Also, the link to the slide is shareable, so students are able to look at the slides and click the links that are on the slides. It helps make the content more interactive, and students are able to see it in a variety of ways. ● How can Google Classroom help you promote curiosity and critical examination? Rather than just telling the students the information, google classroom allows students to explore material themselves through the materials we give them to navigate through. We can become a facilitator rather than a lecturer when we allow students to go through materials on their own. Also, students can revisit materials that we provide for further exploration when they aren’t in class. ● What are the benefits and/or challenges of using presentation platforms like Google Slides? The benefits of using google slides is that is allows you to share the links with your class, and this allows them to have access to links at their convenience. Google slides also helps provide visuals to students during a lesson. Some challenges are that some students are not visual learners, so it may not be appealing to your entire class. Another challenge is that google slides is digital and if you want your students to refer back to it, then you have to insure that they have the technology to do so.
