                                 & Problem Solving
• Digital Portfolio Website
                                 • Identifying, Analyzing, &
                                   Communicating Solutions to
• Technological Timeline Global Issues

• Becoming An Expert Project • Constructing & Programing
                                   Various Robots

                                 • Analyzing & Evaluating
• Internet Safety / Etiquette Robotic Sensors , Movements
                                   & Mathematical Relationships
• Generating, Organizing &
  Analyzing Data • Collaboratively Completing
                                   Robotics Tasks
Web 2.0: Media Literacy
Digital Portfolio Websites:
• Created Solely by the students using
   “Google Sites”

• This creates a place where they can
  collect, analyze & evaluate their
work forever in the digital “cloud”

 Technological Timelines:
 • Using their choice of
    programs, students created a
    timeline with researched
    information and pictures

 • Students analyzed the evolution
   of various popular technologies
   (TV’s, Personal Music
   Players, Laptops, Desktops, Cell
   Phones, etc…)
Web 2.0: Media Literacy
              Becoming An Expert Project:
              • Students worked in groups of
                 two or three people

              • Collaboratively they met the
                requirements of a rubric to
                become an expert in various
                software programs

           Accidental Discovery Project:
           • “Failure is a necessary part of
              success” Students explore the
              ideals of “never giving up.”

           • The students complete a
             research project on inventions
             that were discovered by accident
within a program of their choice
Web 2.0: Media Literacy
    Internet Safety / Etiquette :
    • Students will identify, analyze, and
        be evaluated on various internet
        safety related topics:
         • Digital Etiquette
         • Information Privacy
         • Online Safety
         • Cyber-bullying
         • Copyrights

Generating, Organizing & Analyzing Data:
• Students worked in groups of two or
   three people

• Collaboratively they will learn how to
     generate, gather, organize, and evaluate
     data.
Robotics, Engineering, & Problem Solving
Identifying, Analyzing, & Communicating Solutions to Global Issues:

   • Within groups of two or three, students will identify, analyze, &
evaluate the methods of global communications

   • Through their own collaborative research, as a class we will
identify, analyze, & generate possible solutions to trending global
     issues.

   • Each group will put together a proposal of a possible solution that
would solve a particular global issue. This will be presented to
the entire class through a program of their choosing.
Robotics, Engineering, & Problem Solving
Constructing &
Programing Various
Robots:
• Within teams of
   two, students will
   learn how to
   document their
   construction of
   various robots

• After construction
  is complete, they
  will learn how to
  program their to
  complete certain
  tasks
Robotics, Engineering, & Problem Solving
                          Analyzing & Evaluating Robotic
                          Sensors , Movements &
                          Mathematical Relationships:
                          • Through the collaborative use
of the robots, the students will
                             identify, analyze, & evaluate:
                               o Basic Movements
                               o Measurements
                               o Math
                                     Circumference
                                     Gear Ratios
                                     Fractional Parts
                                     Probability
                                     Graphing Data
                               o Analyzing Robotic Sensors
                                     Light
                                     Ultrasonic
                                     Sound
                                     Touch
Robotics, Engineering, & Problem Solving
Collaboratively Completing
Robotics Tasks:

• In groups of two, students will
  develop and implement a plan
  based upon a given problem

• Design & implement a
  marketing plan for the robots
  on their possible benefits to
  mankind

• Identify, construct, analyze, &
  evaluate green technologies &
  how they could relate to
  robotics
