4. OMB Circular A-16 identifies the US-DOT as the “lead agency” for the “transportation theme” of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI).

5. US-DOT all roads data requirements such as accident reporting for enhanced safety, highway performance monitoring and bridge inventory.

6. Aligned with several initiatives such the emerging federal Geospatial Platform concept. - one element of the “geospatial portfolio”TFTN and US DOTUS DOT is a full partner in TFTNTransportation Theme Lead for the NSDIProduce and Maintain the National Transportation Atlas Databases (NTAD)FHWA HPMS Program collecting data from State DOTsFunding the Strategic Planning Effort
