- 4. Software refers to the set of instructions that tells the computer what to do and how to do it. Software consists of complex codes known as programs. Without software, the hardware is useless. Word processing, database, spreadsheet, and desktop publishing are some of the common software.
- 5. People, also known as users, operate the computer hardware. They create and use the computer software. They enter the data into and use the information generated by the computer system. Data are raw facts. They can be in the form of letter, numbers, sounds, and pictures.
