This study analyzes dead time effects on switching losses in high and low side MOSFETs of a zero voltage switching synchronous buck converter (ZVS SBC). The results indicate that optimizing parameters such as duty ratio and dead time can significantly decrease switching losses, with an observed reduction of 13.8% in one of the switches. The optimized values were determined to be a duty ratio of 20%, dead time of 15 ns, and a resonant inductor of 9 nH at a 1 MHz switching frequency.
