SAP's in-memory platform HANA aims to simplify data management by storing one atomic copy of data in main memory, eliminating unnecessary complexity. This allows for both transactions and analytics to use the same data copy in real-time. HANA reduces IT costs by consolidating different data copies and models onto a single database, and also enables new data-driven innovations.
