- 3. Web technology The Internet is a vast and boundless media that enables people to truly feel free. In the modern world, this sense of freedom is so rare, that it is considered priceless. However, in order to achieve this freedom, countless Web Developers had to spend their days working on their websites so that a simple user sitting at home would be able to visit their website

- 6. Web technology General information The internet is quite the lucrative business in today’s world. Many companies use it as a great medium for communication with their customers, well actually we live in times, when if something does not exist in the internet, it does not exist at all.

Specifically, for computer engineers, that are capable of delivering such service to their customers. In order to deliver that service they use a technology that is the main topic of this presentation. Namely, the WEB technology.

URI: Uniform Resource Identifier. A kind of “address” that is unique to each resource on the Web. HTTP: Hypertext Transfer Protocol. Allows for the retrieval of linked resources from across the Web.

By 1991, people outside of CERN joined the new Web community. Very important to the growth of the Web, CERN announced in April 1993 that the World Wide Web technology would be available for anyone to use on a royalty-free basis.

Literally millions of people now participate in the sharing and exchange of these forms of media by producing their own podcasts, videos and photos.

I’m not saying that websites need to be simple or plain, but they need to follow best usability practices in order to make the user experience as seamless as possible.

People are much more likely to give you their attention if you make it fun for them rather than force them to read 10 paragraphs about your company and why you’re the best.

Web technology Modern approach – Responsive design Responsive Web Design (RWD) is not a new concept at this point; however, it’s important to reiterate it again for this year since mobile is quickly becoming the new standard. And because mobile is becoming the new standard, that means there will never be a set website size anymore.

Does the story slightly change in portrait vs. landscape mode? After all, RWD is not about squishing content to make it fit onto a different-sized screen. It is about transforming your website in order to tell the message effectively. And what’s effective on a desktop-sized website will not necessary be as effective on mobile, even if you manage to fit it all onto the mobile screen size.

They copy the written word without making attributions, rip off images without acknowledging the source, or hijack RSS feeds to load their own sites with content from other sources. That is bad for the Internet.

However the best solution for the users would be to avoid using advertisements by web designers

Web technology Best practices – Minimal UI Design This applies to pretty much everything, and it’s still one of the biggest reasons why people leave a website quickly – you’re giving them too much, too quickly. We’re not sure how minimal design affects the sales vs usability ratio, but we think it’s up there.

- 52. Web technology Summary The whole presentation focused on the Web technologies in today’s world. The rapid development of those technologies has opened so many potential doors for companies and private people all over the world that it’s hard to ignore this vast medium which is the Internet. Starting from Web 1.0 and up to Web 3.0 (and soon Web 4.0) the websites require less and less interaction with the user and aim to fully automate most common processes by “predicting” what the user wants. Web 4.0 will most likely be ground-breaking when it comes to this user-spying aspect of websites.
