- 1. Snatched Script INT. MORNING In a white South Ken Drawing room a tearful Sophia is pleading with her Father to let her go out. SOPHIA I want to go outside on my own ILYA No! I’ve told you! SOPHIA But why? I want to feel like a normal girl – like all my friends ILYA I’ve told you before we can’t just go to the shops – we’re not like everyone else, there are… people Sophia who are not our friends. Patricia what can I do? PATRICIA Well Sir – I’m sure we can think of something… The telephone rings. Ilya picks it up. ILYA Ilya Brodksi speaking… CUT TOA mobile phone held up to the side of a man’s face in shadow only his lips visible from side angle. DIMITRI Listen very carefully… CUT BACK TO ILYA Who is this? CUT TO DIMITRI You will find out soon enough. I have a gun trained on you. (ILYA sees a red laser dot which moves to his forehead) If you do not co-operate I will kill you...
- 2. CAMERA PULLS BACK to reveal DIMITRI looking through binoculars at ILYA’s house just with a laser pen. ILYA motions to PATRICIA and pressing the mute button on his phone says ILYA Patricia quick get the driver, take SOPHIA and drive her to the safe place. PATRICIA grabs a startled SOPHIA PATRICIA Come on we must go. SOPHIA Daddy? ILYA Shush my little babooshka – everything will be all right… (he returns to the phone call) I am listening… ILYA looks pale as he nods and listens to the demands. TO dramatic music SOPHIA and PATRICIA flee the house. DIMITRI watches them flee from his hidden vantage point. ILYA sweats on phone. THE CHAUFFEUR opens the car door and bustles them in and slams the door. As the car pulls off. PATRICIA opens her phone, smiles strangely at the CHAUFEEUR and sends a text as she strokes SOPHIA’S HAIR. Text reads. “One down. One to go.” CUT TO DIMITRI on the phone to ILYA as the second mobile goes and he reads PATRICIA’S text. SOPHIA screams and climbs into the back window SOPHIA Daddy, daddy! PATRICIA Don’t worry my darling. I’ll take care of everything.
