This document presents an experimental investigation into the effect of turning parameters on the material removal rate (MRR) of AISI 4041 die alloy steel, utilizing Taguchi's method and analysis of variance (ANOVA). It concludes that optimal machining conditions for higher MRR occur at a cutting speed of 300 m/min, a feed rate of 0.06 mm/rev, and a depth of cut of 0.2 mm. The analysis reveals significant factors affecting MRR to be cutting speed and depth of cut, while feed rate is found to be less significant.
