- 2. Motivation of Idea (1) ! When driving a car, I usually do not notice traffic signs. ! Talking with other people ! Concentrating on the insane traffic of Hanoi. ! This makes my driving ! Unsafe ! Costly by an extra pay for traffic police >”< ! Even sometimes I do not remember the meaning of some traffic signs. ☹
- 3. Motivation of Idea (2) ! Need someone to sit side by side and notice me about traffic signs on road. ! But hiring a beautiful secretary is also costly, so I want my car be smarter to help me out.
- 4. Idea ! A real-time traffic signs recognition system. ! Detect traffic signs on road ! Notice driver about the detected traffic signs ! By a cute voice ! By text on screen
- 5. Feasibility ! There are a lot of car which installed a dash-cam. ! The high generation dash-cam has a high spec and runs on Android OS. ! Can use smartphone as an alternative dash-cam. ! There is no (or rare) dash-cam having a traffic sign recognition function. ! People (like me) are willing to pay money for the safe driving. (Need to do a survey)

- 7. How to make ! Step 1: Find all red and blue parts in the image (now using SVM) ! Step 2: Group them into red and blue regions as following algorithm: ! Step 3: Find traffic signs in each color region (now using Haar-like cascade classifier)
