The Journey is the Way Form a group to create a group. Learn from the process to enhance the process Do not seek to gain from what you want from others to give away freely Be open about what you learn and mistakes. You need others to improve. There is no end to the process, so enjoy the journey with each other.
Tribing Magazine for networkmobilisation What gives life to groups and tribes? 1. A mix of people that love and acknowledge each other. 2. Shared purpose and access to active participation in getting there. 3. Members feel at the same time builder of it all and of service to it all.
Principles that help you to tribe: (co author: Charles Davies) Tell stories that show the community how it works, operates, what values drive it. Tell stories where you want to go with it. If you got something from the community show that it worked. Expect nothing in return. Don ’ t look for exchange, trade or equality. Ask what you need. Offer what you can. Build relationships for their own sake, not to get anywhere. Being in tune with the community is more important than power over it. Knowing the tricks, rules and techniques don ’ t put you necessarily in tune. The more resonance of talents and values you share being part of a community the warmer you ’ ll be towards it.
The best people to make a difference: Are aware what effect their contribution is having. Are a mixed group that loves and acknowledges each other. Do find likeminded people to share the burden and the pleasure. Break patterns and keep the flow going. Feel and act inspired. Experience helps. Keep it simple and loving or compassionate.
5 tricks to light a spark 5 tricks to light a spark Ask concrete questions Increase impact by letting go Keep it simple Stay compassionate Don’t take it too serious
Ever considered what power (new) questions can have? What would be the question that invokes you into action? What action would that be? How would it help? What would make it fun? What would make it a party others would love to join? What would be the smallest thing you could do with the biggest impact?
The secret to positive mobilisation. How to make it work in seven great questions How to discover the right people? How to generate great ideas? How to create easy access? How to unlock possibility by making fun of it? How to host or facilitate rather than lead? How are you making a difference? How can we help you do that?
The Art of the Question I Blockers What’s the biggest problem here? Why did I have to be born in such a troubled family? Why do they blow it so often? Why do we still have those problems? Movers What possibilities exist that we have not thought about yet? What’s the smallest change that could make the biggest impact? What solutions would have us both win? What makes my questions inspiring, energizing, and mobilizing?
Corporate Tribing It’s Us or Them What steps will protect our interests? We promise shareholder value. All noses in the same direction. Trust that all moves contribute. Enjoy. Love to play, experiment and cocreate with others We offer value for everyone Don’t talk, dance! Score or get fired!
Progress based upon motivation works! If you wait to act until you understand it all, you’ll be waisted before you can act. . Follow what gives energy and stay open and flexible to new insights along the way. information overload.
Empower people by letting them co-create, since it must work for them. Make things reality as soon as possible: do not guess, but experience yourself Be open and willing to experiment and integrate feedback Yes attitude and test play like it already is a fact Play Design
Crabbing: keeping each other in tight cricles with dead end convictions. Warning: Crabbing can cause talent destruction and end up in waisted lifes. You wouldn’t leave me for some fucking stupid study, would you now? Come on, Eileen, we’re free out here. This is the real life!
INSPIRATION Participation gives Sometimes it’s silly play that makes the positive difference in peoples lifes.
