FabLabs are spaces that allow people to design and produce physical objects using computer-controlled tools. They operate under an open model where designs can be shared freely. This document highlights several projects from FabLabs around the world that are developing solutions to local problems in affordable and sustainable ways. Examples include a wheelchair attachment to climb curbs, low-cost prosthetic legs, and plans to establish a FabLab in Jalalabad, Afghanistan to provide educational opportunities for children.
