This document provides an overview of Twitter and how it can be used for professional purposes. The training session objectives are to create a Twitter account, learn about different social media, discuss advantages of social media for the organization, and learn Twitter basics. It defines various social media like Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Tumblr and focuses on Twitter being easiest to use with a 140 character limit. Advantages of Twitter for the organization are listed, along with examples of departments already using Twitter. Twitter lingo and symbols like hashtags, @ mentions, retweets are explained. Examples are provided for crafting tweets using hashtags and @ mentions. Pictures are presented as examples for possible tweets.
