Type II Conditional describes hypothetical or unlikely situations in the past or present using the structure "If + past tense, would/could/might + infinitive". Examples include "If I were in Brazil, I would go to Rio de Janeiro" and "If it were not raining, we could go out". This conditional talks about hypothetical or unlikely situations and the probable result with would, could, or might in the main clause.

She would travel more often if she had more time. If he didn't live by the river, he couldn't go fishing. If they worked for that company, they might have better salaries.
