The group who can survive the different tests that the teacher will do to each group’s output will be announced as the winner. d. This activity is only good for 15 minutes.

- 10. 3 Cable Types Commonly Used For Ethernet Cabling
- 11. A. COAXIAL CABLING It is generally used for cable internet access. This was used for computer networks, but today are largely replaced by twisted-pair cabling.
- 12. B. TWISTED-PAIR CABLING It is the most popular type of cabling nowadays. It can be used for telephone and network cabling.
- 13. 2 VERSIONS: 1. UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) 2. STP (Shielded Twisted Pair)
- 14. Though the two aren’t terribly different from one another, the way unshielded twisted pair cabling and shielded twisted pair cabling cancel out electromagnetic interference is.
- 16. Twisted-pair cabling comes in two: 1. Straight-through cable – this type of cable has identical wiring on both ends. 2. Crossover cable – wire pairs are swapped, which means that different pins are connected together.

- 20. C. FIBER-OPTIC CABLING It uses optical fibers to transmit data in the form of light signals. This cabling method has many advantages over other methods but it’s drawback is that it is the most expensive type of cabling.

- #15: UTP, unshielded twisted pair cabling has no foil shield and relies on the way the pairs inside the cabling is twisted to cancel electromagnetic interference. They are also smaller than STP cables, easier to install and a lot more cost-effective. And, they can transmit data just as fast as shielded twisted pair cabling. STP, has a metallic foil that encases the twisted wire pairs inside a cable. This protects against electromagnetic interference and allows for a faster transmission of data.
