This document defines and provides properties of different types of quadrilaterals:
- A quadrilateral is a 4-sided polygon with types including rectangle, square, parallelogram, rhombus, kite, and trapezoid.
- A rectangle has two pairs of parallel sides meeting at right angles, with equal diagonals. A square is a rectangle with all four sides of equal length.
- A parallelogram has two pairs of parallel sides with opposite angles equal. A rhombus is a parallelogram with all four sides of equal length.
- A kite has two pairs of equal sides with one pair of opposite angles equal and diagonals intersecting at right angles
