So if you’re thinking about becoming a YouTuber, then here are a few steps to help you. 2. EXT. PARK. DAY CHELSIE Step one is all about equipment. You’ll need to own a camera that can record video but it doesn’t have to be expensive, you can use your phone. Chelsie holds up camera and iPhone as they are mentioned in the dialogue. A tripod isn’t an essential purchase but it can assist you if you don’t have anyone to help you film. Chelsie approaches set up tripod and attaches the camera to tripod whilst delivering the dialogue. That brings us onto step two. Your content is really important, so you need to upload regularly. My golden rule is ‘does it add to your story?’ It doesn’t matter if it’s the best cinematic sequence ever, if it doesn’t add to the story you’re trying to tell, then it has to go.
