Some of its subsidiary labels include Blue Note Records, known for jazz music, and A&M Octane Records, which focuses on artists for the 15-30 age range. Capitol Records is also a subsidiary founded in 1942 in Los Angeles, specializing in various genres and located in the Capitol Records Building.
