To slow down an audio file using Audacity: 1. Open Audacity and import the MP3 file or select a section to slow down. 2. Apply the "Change Speed" effect to decrease the speed by 10-20% and then apply the "Change Pitch" effect to increase the pitch by the same amount to maintain the original pitch. 3. Export the file to save it at the slower speed.

- 2. • Open Audacity • Click on the “file” menu, and then click “open” to find the mp3 file you want to slow down.
- 3. • Use Ctrl + A to highlight the entire file or select and highlight the section you want to slow down.
- 4. • Click on the “edit” menu and then click “cut” if you have selected part of the file.
- 5. • On the effect menu select “change speed”
- 6. • On the pop up menu move the slider to the left to decrease the speed by 10 – 20% and then click “OK”
- 7. • Then select “change pitch” on the effect menu
- 8. • On the pop up menu move the slider to the right to increase the speed by the same amount and then click “OK”
- 9. • Click on the “file” menu, and then click “export” to save the file. All this just takes a minute or so!
