SIG is a Swiss provider of local services. It supplies 225,000 customers
throughout the canton of Geneva with water, gas, electricity and
thermal energy. It processes wastewater, recovers waste and offers
services in the fields of energy and telecommunications. Its activities
aim to promote efficient and optimized consumption, thus
contributing to sustainable development.

in water treatment plants.

SIG Use case
In the basin of the water treatment plant, a BoB Assistant was
installed to monitor one of the two submerged stirrer motors.
The fault threshold was detected by BoB on engine 1 while
engine 2, (30 meters away and not supervised by a Bob)
failed.

SIG Use case
In the supply system of the water treatment plant, a Bob Assistant has been installed on a bracket,
which is attached to the pump (in an AtEx area).
Just before midnight, the alert level was exceeded (see graph).
The next morning, the factory's technical team noticed that the pump was clogged and overheated
at around 8am. The temperature sensor fitted on the pump did not raise the alarm until around
4am,
After the team's intervention, the level of anomalies returned to normal.

anticipated and unblocked before too much compaction occurs.

  • 24. 24 SIG Use case In the basin of the water treatment plant, a BoB Assistant was installed to monitor one of the two submerged stirrer motors. The fault threshold was detected by BoB on engine 1 while engine 2, (30 meters away and not supervised by a Bob) failed.
  • 25. 25 SIG Use case In the supply system of the water treatment plant, a Bob Assistant has been installed on a bracket, which is attached to the pump (in an AtEx area). Just before midnight, the alert level was exceeded (see graph). The next morning, the factory's technical team noticed that the pump was clogged and overheated at around 8am. The temperature sensor fitted on the pump did not raise the alarm until around 4am, After the team's intervention, the level of anomalies returned to normal.
