This study investigates the impact of reactive dyeing on the linear density of combed yarn, highlighting that loss of weight and strength occurs during wet treatment. Results show that while linear density loss is significant below 2.5% dye shade, it stabilizes between 2.5% and 3.5%, with 3% shade incurring the least loss. The findings suggest a 'safe zone' for dyeing yarn to maintain quality, emphasizing the need for careful chemical management outside this range.
