The School Day Morning: • School day starts at 8.50am • Any lateness will be recorded/monitored • Check-in with Miss McLaughlin Break time: • Keep snacks separate from lunch boxes as trolleys are taken away Afternoon: • Check-in update • School day ends at 3.15pm – if there are any changes to your child’s arrangements, please let the school know

Primary 6 • Please ensure your child’s name is on all of their belongings • PE days are Wednesdays and Thursdays • Library day is Wednesday • ERIC (‘Everyone Reading in Class’) time – Tuesday morning; children can bring a text of their choice in to read • ‘Together Time’ is on a Friday • P6 class trip – Tuesday 1st October (Water of Leith Visitor Centre) • P6 cross country event – scheduled for Monday 7th October (more information to follow)

- 11. Homework Formats: • Reading - for enjoyment. Children will select a personal reader from the library to read at home. Sumdog challenges to practise literacy themes/grammar skills. • Spelling – termly activity grid. • Numeracy/maths – Sumdog challenges set by Miss McLaughlin. West Lothian Sumdog contests. How can you support your child? • Ask them about their reading and share your own reading likes/dislikes. • Complete a Spelling activity together. • Build in time for times table practice (e.g. quick-fire sums, 10 minutes on Sumdog)
