This document provides an overview of an upcoming class that will include introductions where students share two truths and a lie about themselves, a discussion of visual rhetoric, and an introduction to the technology and software that will be used in the class. The class will also include reading assignments and an introductory design task in Photoshop where students will bring and work with a photo of their own face.

- 3. The Activity: Two Lies and the Truth You get five minutes to write down your name along with three statements about yourself. You will then hand the card to the person to your right, who will read the three things. As a class, we have to try to guess which one is true.

- 12. For next class, read the first 3 chapters of Robin Williams’ Non-Designer’s Design Book. There’s a link to the book in Canvas for you to open. In class we will play with Photoshop for the first time and begin our first design task. Bring a picture of your face.
