Visual weight refers to how much certain graphic elements attract a viewer's attention in a composition compared to others. Elements with higher visual weight include those that are located higher or toward the right side of the frame, are larger in size, have more complex shapes, brighter colors, appear sharper in focus, have more texture, or are more isolated from other elements. Location, size, shape, color, depth of field, texture, and isolation are the key factors that determine an element's visual weight within a composition.
