Vowels Picture Sorting Game for ESL learners
- 1. ESL Commando English “vowel SoundS picture GAMe” Mission: To recognize and pronounce vowel sounds correctly. In groups of 3-4 students, 1) Cut up sheet #2 into 7 pictures. 2) Cut up sheet #3 so each speaker has one mini sheet. 3) Ask students to jumble the words on the mini sheet. 4) Students speak the words to the other students in the order they choose without telling them the order. 5) Listeners line up pictures from top to bottom in the order that they hear them. 6) Speakers check other students’ pictures to see if they are saying the words correctly and if the listeners are hearing them correctly. 7) A new speaker gives the words in a new order. 8) Repeat until all students have spoken.
