- 2. In computing, web application or web app is a client- server software application in which the client(or user interface) runs in a web browser. Common web applications include webmail, online retail sales, online auctions, wikis, instant messaging services and many other functions.
- 3. The hotpotatoes software suite includes six applications that can create exercise for the world wide web. The applications are, Jcloze Jcross Jmatch Jmix Jquiz There is also a sixth application called Tha Masher, that will compile all the hotpotatoes exercise into one unit.
- 4. Hotpotatoes was created by Research and Development team at the University of Victoria Humanities Computing and Media Centre. The hot potatoes suite includes six applications, enabling you to create interactive multiple- choice, short- answer, jumbled-sentences ,crossword, matching/ ordering and gap-fill exercises for the world wide web.
