- 2. - Is a professional where a person designs a web page or web site. The web page can have graphics, music, animation, and many other things on it. Some web design is done for businesses, and some is done for individual people. - People who design web pages are called web designers. Web designers use Hypertext Markup Languages (HTML) and eXtensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML). These languages are used to tell browsers how to display your webpage it includes layouts, colors, graphics, fonts, and content.
- 3. HTML TAGS Each tag in the text box plays a role in the creation of your HTML. HTML Tag DESCRIPTION <html> Indicates that the file is composed of HTML commands <head> Usually contains the web page title, scripts, meta information, and more. <title> This contains the title of the web page that usually describes the web page content. It is usually seen in the title bar of the browser window or on browser tabs. <body> Defines the document body which includes the contents on an HTML document like text, hyperlinks, lists, images, etc.
- 4. Note that for every tag there is an equivalent closing tag.
- 5. Document Type Definition (DTD) Every webpage must contain a DOCTYPE definition so the browser know what type of document your webpage is. With HTML 4 the DOCTYPE definition should contain DTD, which contains machine-readable grammar specifying the allowed and prohibited contents for the documents. In HTML 5, while no DTD is needed, the DOCTYPE definition is still necessary. This is because current web browsers now use special-purpose HTML parsers rather than general purpose DTD based parsers.

- 8. Notepad uses basic text formatting to make and edit text files. But there are other web development tools available like Wordpad it can be used to do basic formatting, while Microsoft Word can be used to autocorrect entries. Microsoft Frontpage, which is a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) program, can be use to layout webpage components as these would appear if using a Graphical User Interface (GUI) so you don’t have to manually write the code, since images and icons are used.
- 10. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), is an organization that Led by Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the Web. This organization is made up more the 450 organization, among which are Microsoft, Apple Inc., Sun Microsystems, as well as hardware and software manufacturers, academic institutions and, telecommunication companies.
