Activating Prior Knowledge PRE-TEST ACTIVITY: REVIEW ON THE PREVIOUS LESSONS ACTIVITY: REVIEW ON THE PREVIOUS LESSONS ACTIVITY: REVIEW ON THE PREVIOUS LESSONS B. Establishing Lesson Purpose ACTIVITY: Word Cloud Reveal The teacher shows a word cloud filled with terms related to ICT (e.g., programmer, animation, call center). Students are asked to interpret the image and answer: "Why is it important to understand the different ICT sectors and career opportunities they offer?" This introduces the relevance of the topic. ACTIVITY: Guess the ICT Sector The teacher presents photos of ICT professionals (e.g., programmer, technician, graphic artist). Students guess which ICT sector each person belongs to and explain their answers. This activity introduces them to real-world roles in ICT and sets the context for the lesson. ACTIVITY: Trends Collage Students watch a short video clip showing real-life applications of trending ICT technologies (e.g., AI, VR, Smart Devices). After watching, they identify which trends were shown. This sets the context for the discussion on current ICT trends ACTIVITY: Sector Reflection Prompt Teacher posts the question: “Which ICT sector do you see yourself in 10 years from now? How do current trends influence your decision?” Students are given 3 minutes to think, then share. C. Developing and Deepening Understanding Mapping of ICT Sectors Discussion on sectors of ICT and business/career opportunities such as Computer Programming, Visual Arts, Computer System Servicing, and Telecommunications.
