- 1. Welcome to A&D Employability! This is our mini-guide to all things relating to employability and careers within the School of Art & Design. If you are looking for support with placements or short work experience that is embedded in your course, then please visit our dedicated Placements Page.
- 2. Meet the team Linda connects the NTU Employability Team with Art & Design students and staff, and is involved in strategy, events and employer liaison. Rish works with undergraduate courses in the School of Art & Design, and can help with career planning, options with your course, creative CV, job applications, volunteering and self-employment. Kathryn works with postgraduate A&D courses, and will support students with career planning, options with your course, CV, job applications and self-employment. Laura will assist with queries about sandwich placements, use of the InPlace portal, and can offer you support with your CV, applications and interviews. Martyn & Ben liaise with employers, set up events, presentations and feedback for internships, jobs and Sandwich Placements. Ben works with BA Fashion Management and Martyn with BA Fashion Knitwear Design & Knitted Textiles. Vicky liaises with employers, setting up presentations and feedback for internships, jobs and short work placements as part of your degree. Jolene creates relationships with local, national and international employers to create job and placement opportunities, and invites employers onto campus. Diana can support you if you are thinking about working for yourself as a freelancer, or setting up a business, in the fashion industry, creative or any other sector. - 3. Start with Employability Online Employability Online is our online portal, offering resources, information and advice to help you (including CVs, covering letters, applications and interviews). It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at www.ntu.ac.uk/emponline
- 4. Have you seen the A&D Employability Resource on NOW? This contains job search resources, and links to our social media portals, blog and latest job and news alerts for Art & Design students.
- 5. Futurehub is your one-stop shop to search for job opportunities for NTU students and graduates. You can also use this platform to view details of events and workshops to help you along – including LEAP, our Creative Industries Expo. Graduate jobs and events
