Affecting people of all ages, learning challenges are common and sometimes result with discouraged and frustrated people, especially students who don’t understand why they struggle with a particular task or subject when others seem to find it reasonably simple. They wish to do better in their studies, yet no amount of effort seems to be enough. While a learning disability is a more severe condition, students with learning challenges may sometimes be mistaken for learning disabled persons. Both groups suffer from learning difficulties but the group that has mild or no learning disabilities may have primarily depression, anxiety, social challenges, situational stress, are perhaps more perfectionistic than others or suffer from ADHD. Both groups may need assessment and treatment of the specific emotional and executive functioning issues.
