What have you learned from
 your audience feedback?
To collect audience feedback I created an
  anonymous survey on freeonlinesurveys.com
and posted the link with the video on twitter and
facebook. From this I had 10 replies, from
people of different age and genders. This
included some people who were not the target
audience. This gave a whole view of the opinion
of our video and would cut out bias. By the
survey being anonymous people could put what
  they really believed.
Due to Web 2.0 this was possible, not only has it
given us information from google etc, but we can
also provide information and get feedback, e.g.
  our survey.
We had a lot of positive feedback from the survey,
especially people saying how funny it was. We
were very proud of this because it was exactly
what we wanted the video to be
We were also very happy that the narrative
was clear and it was appropriate video for
 the song.
We did have a few comments on lip syncing. When editing it was good
however may have been affected when uploaded to youtube. It may
have been due to poor embedded on facebook/twitter. Also a few
comments were made about the Amarillo spoof section. It was not
stable as we were using a dolly and the floor wasn’t completely flat.
This made the movement bumpy and we had to reshoot a section
with me standing still but pretending to walk, this was so the camera
was still, and later on we kept the camera still and I walked from a
further distance due to learning from our original experience.
We did have comment that the OK Go spoof wasn’t obvious. The
results show only 50% recognised OK Go, this could be due to two
factors. The first reason may be because they didn’t know the
original video. The other reason may have been we didn’t get our
spoof exactly the same. We had 3 thread mills but couldn’t move
them due to health and safety. Because of this we couldn’t have
them in the same set up as the original video. We tried to have the
same costumes and part of the same choreography as the original
video but shots and certain parts changed for comedic value. Only
80% recognised the Bohemian Rhapsody video and same with
Amarillo. I believe this was because they didn’t know the original
video as the costumes, shots and choreography were very similar.
We had a lot of advice verbally on how to make it
funnier, and that people wanted to see more of
the bear. We also had two more scenes with
Paddington and me, one playing poker and the
other in the car. Unfortunately we couldn’t use
them as they would not fit in the time frame and
we didn’t want to cut anything out. The comment
above was something we considered however
we saw a similar video by an a-level student
when researching, in which she has a romantic
relationship with a gnome, we didn’t want to
copy that and wanted to be unique.
