What have you learnt about technologies from the
- 1. technologies from the process of constructing this product
- 2. On Photoshop I have learnt how to sort out skin and to get rid of spots. This is my main model Tom but he had spots during the photo shoot, as it is not my intensions for my musician not to have spots I used the magic healing brush. Having the magic healing brush helped me to get rid of the spots and to smooth the skin. I also used the cloning tool to use the same colour tome though out the skin so that the image would be more effective.
- 3. I learn how to cut out background on my images, this helps me to get rid of any features in the image that I do not want inside my magazine. Having the magic wand tool has helped me to successfully have the image I want and to create the effect on my magazine I intended to do. This tool I have used I found useful and I have used it though out my images when needed.
- 4. I have used the layout style to create more of an effective image for all my images. I have used this to make colours stand out, create glows for texts and other features and also fill shapes in. For this image I have used it to create a black and white effect on the image which is what I intended to do in my intensions.
- 5. I used the text tool to add in text into my magazine, this had helped me to construct upon my text boxes and other information on the mage. I have also found using the angle tool when having the mouse over the corner of the image to create more effect and use the angle tool to fit in with my intentions of where I wanted text. Using text also had a unique effect when using the arch tool. Using this could bent my texts and create shapes using it.
- 6. Using the shapes tool I could get a classic shape to go on the title ‘Thomas Payne’, this also made the font look expensive. The shape tool also helped me use the line shape to create white lines to underline the titles of the information on the left and right and thirds.
- 7. I created a background for my contents page using the shapes tool to make a white and red bar, I then used the lighting tool to make a glow on the colour and make it stand out to be effective. I used the lighting tool on all my images to create a spot light effect and make the model in the image to stand out more.
- 8. The photo shop I used was Photo shop CS3 extended. This helped me to create the whole of my magazine and the layouts. Photoshop helped me with all my images to make them stand out, make the model look more attractive like getting rid of spots and to show the musical blues genre in my magazine. Photo shop has helped me to develop my skills in the media industry and to created a media product that can be sold. I thing I have reached a professional standard in my layouts and images and since the start of using Photoshop I have developed to be independent on the soft wear.
- 9. I used slide share to upload my power points to my blog, using this has helped me to easily insert a copy of my work onto a slideshow data base. Having this on a data base keeps my work safe but also an easy way to have the power point on my blog and for the user to read through my research about my magazine and my chosen genre which is Blue’s.
- 10. I used YouTube a lot to watch videos on how to use Photoshop. YouTube helped me develop my skills on Photoshop and helped complete my work to a professional standard. I also used Photoshop to present my presentations and my research, this helped my upload voice recordings and videos that I had created to show my research in another way instead of typing everything
- 11. I used Word press to create my blog on. This helped me present my blog which I put all my research and planning, photo shots of development and my main magazine images that I created on Photoshop. Word press let me upload slide share power points, YouTube videos and images to show my development into the media industry. I also was able to present information on all my areas of research.
- 12. I used InDesign to create my double page spread. I was able to create a double page and insert my images, texts, change font sizes and styles. I was able to develop my skills on InDesign in the time I had and create a professional standard page that faced my intensions.
