reporting of results
Marking plan:
1: This evaluation plan is provided to help inform
you how marks are calculated to estimate success
during the year.
2: [1] For "Term Marks", I will evaluate and weight
labs, quizzes, and major tests as follows:
3: Major marks up to 45%: Major Labs + Tests +
Projects (science fair/projects)
4: Minor marks up to 30%: Labs, Quizzes,
completion assignments.

Purpose of Marks:
1: Communication the achievement status of
students to their parents and others.
2: Provide information for student self Evaluation.
3: Select, identity, or group students for certain
educational programs.
4: Provide incentives for student learn.
5: Document students performance to Evaluate
the effectiveness of instructional programs.
6: Provide Evidence of students Lack of effort or
inappropriate responsibility.
Types of Marks:
1: Percentage System
2: Pass/Fail
3: Five point Multiple scale
4: Dual System
5: Checklist and rating scale.
Reporting system:
• Emphasize important/interesting information.
• Ensure that the report is structured for easy reading.
• Supply easily accessible default reports that address IT
administrators’ top questions/concerns.
• Provide powerful functionality in the report setup options.
• Consider what not to show in the report.
• Provide some simple ways to analyze data.
• Provide good navigation in the report.
• Provide explanations.
• Use good information-design practices.
• Ensure that the report is transportable.
Computerized Reporting of
Marks:
• Grading computerized programs and electronic
grade books rank among the best-selling
computer software available to educators today.
• They appeal to teachers primarily because they
simplify record keeping.
• The spreadsheet formats and data base
management systems including in these
programs make it easy for teachers to inter the
large amount of numerical information.

• Most computerized grading programs also
present educators
with a wide range of options. Some simply helps
teachers to keep more detailed records on
students learning progress. Other allows teachers
to present summaries of their students
,achievement and performance in a variety of
different formats including computer displays,
online reports, and even digital portfolio.
