August Panorama
Welcome to the August installment of Energy Panorama.
As the month wraps up, we return from Santiago, Chile, where we held our inaugural event exploring the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, data centers, and the energy sector. With global headlines increasingly focused on the growing energy demands of data centers and their impact on sustainability and local communities, these themes have become essential for public-private dialogue and led to convening our event with an emphasis on the Andean region.
Featured Publication
This month’s featured report is a summary from our wide-ranging and thought-provoking discussions in Santiago. We extend our sincere appreciation to Helen Bucarey, María José Sánchez, Pedro Torres and Guillermo García, Dual Degree students in Law and Business at Universidad Adolfo Ibañez (UAI) in Santiago, Mikaela Engell, the Executive Coordinator of the Center for Business Solutions for Development at UAI, as well as our new IOA Diplomatic Fellow, Chris Nyce, for their assistance with the preparation of this summary report.
► Stay tuned next week, just after the Labor Day holiday in the U.S., for our announcement of the first round of confirmed speakers for the XXXIV La Jolla Energy Conference on October 21-23.
