This prototype robot is designed to help bomb squads by remotely detecting bombs and obstacles. It can be guided through a suspected area using a wireless camera and navigated from a base station. Sensors allow the robot to detect metals and obstacles and send that information back to operators. An 89c51 microcontroller interfaces with metal detection, ultrasound, and IR sensors to provide detection capabilities while the wireless camera allows for remote guidance and viewing of the robot's activities from a control station.
