- 1. Post Production Log We have used the colour balanceeffect to alter the hue, saturation and lightness of our video in order to create a more moody look,fitting in with the softness of the song and narrativeof the video. We cut our animated footage usingthe razor tool so that we were ableto alter the speed and duration of separateimages so that they fit in time with the music and the rest of the video. After cutting our footage we were ableto alter the speed and duration of individual images,a llowingus to fit them in time with the music.This tool was very useful becauseit enabled us to alter the speed of footage which we were otherwise unableto do on Stop Motion Pro software.
- 2. The Luma curve effect was very useful when we were brighteningthe colour of our animated footage so that the images stood out and appeared more vibrant. To ensure that our animated images fitthe screen after transferringthem from Stop Motion Pro, we added titles to these images to create a background of the same colour so that there were no longer black boarders around them. We have used an exponential fade effect to fade out the audio towards the end of the song. This has worked well as itfits in with the slow,dream-likepace of the song and video. We added cross dissolves to create smoother transitionsbetween the liveaction and animated sequences, addingto the dream-like effect of the video and slowpaceof the song.
- 3. We applied ‘dirty film’over my footage to create a grainy effect. This has worked well with the grey/blue hues that we have applied and the stuttering movement of the animated sequences.
