22 ways to predict your lifespan(1)
!  Men s life expectancy is 75 years of age.
!  Women s life expectancy is 81.
!  Start with average base number for your
gender……
!  Harvard studies show that those who finish
college education live longer than those who
don t.
!  If you plan to attend college, add 2 years.
!  If you do not plan to attend any further
schooling after high school, subtract 2 years.
!  If you live in a rural environment, you ll have
a better chance of reaching an old age than
your urban counterparts.
!  Add 2 years if you life in rural area.
!  Subtract 2 years if you live in the city.
!  Don t add or subtract if you live in the
suburbs.
!  If your grandparents lived to be 80 or older,
add 4 years.
!  If a family member died of a heart attack or
stroke before the age of 50, subtract 4 years.
!  If a family member died before the age of 60,
subtract 2 years.
!  In addition, subtract 3 years for every case of
heart disease , diabetes, and breast or digestive-
system cancer among your parents, siblings or
grandparents.
!  Subtract 3 years if you ve been diagnosed
with high blood pressure or cholesterol.
!  Subtract 7 years if you ve been diagnosed with
heart disease, diabetes or cancer.
!  If your BMI is less than 25 (normal), add 2
years.
!  If it s 25-30 (overweight), subtract 2 years.
!  If it s more than 30 (obese), subtract 5 years.
!  If you smoke 2 or more packs a day, subtract 8
years.
!  If you smoke 1-2 packs a day, subtract 5 years.
!  If you smoke less than one pack a day, subtract
2 years.
!  Healthy diet, add 3 years. (fruits, vegetables,
whole grains)
!  Unhealthy diet, subtract 3 years. (fast food, red
meat, sugars)
!  Physical fitness is one of the best ways to
reduce your disease risk and boost your
longevity.
!  Add 5 years if you engage in vigorous activity
3 or more times a week.
!  Add 3 years if you engage in moderate activity
3 or more times a week.
!  If you live a sedentary lifestyle, subtract 3
years.
!  Add 2 years if you sleep 8-10 hours per night.
!  Subtract 2 years if you sleep 6 hours or less.
!  Subtract 3 years if you sleep more than 10
