Procedure text… Language Features of Procedure Text : • Simple present tense • Use of imperatives (e.g.: cut, don’t mix) • Use of action verbs (e.g.: turn, put, mix) • Use of connectives (e.g. : first, then, finally, …) • Use of adverbial phrases (e.g. : for five minutes, 2 centimeters from the top) Purpose : • (exactly) as the instructions to guide the plan actions.
- 5. Example… HOW TO MAKE CUP CAKES Ingredients : 1. 125 g butter 2. 122 g sugar 3. 130 g flour 4. 4 g baking powder 5. 2 eggs 6. Icing of frosting (if desired)
- 6. Example… Steps : 1. First, gather your ingredients 2. Then, preheat your oven to 180 degrees 3. Put in your butter and sugar 4. Pour in your eggs in small portions and mix 5. Put in the flour mixed with baking powder in small portions and then mix 6. Put the prepared butter in small sized cupcake shells and leave it to bake in the pre-heated oven for around 20 – 25 minutes 7. Finally, spread icing or frosting over the cupcakes and serve.

Only use lotions and cream that your oncologist or nurse suggest 4. Avoid scented cosmetics and the products which contain metals (aluminium) 5. Avoid hormone creams, which can be harmful to the skin 6. If you have areas that itch, inform your radiation therapist.

Draw like shape of switch in side of bottle and cut it connect valve of battery the resistor, from resistor to switch, from switch to lamp, and from lamp to valve again 3. Enter lamp, valve, resistor, and switch into the bottle through hole of switch 4. Turn out the lamp through top hole and glue lamp with plaster.
