SIP Objective -Design a Pong-like game to bring that style of gameplay to modern style of games. Sprint Objective -Design the abilities system for the game
 
This rough sketch shows the layout for the characters and castle the character protects. Instead of left and right, the screen will be split diagonal with characters able to move freely on their side. As the ball hits the players castle the castle will break until it is nothing but rubble. The energy bar shows how much energy each player has available for using abilities.
I really love the idea of adding all these features to this game.  With all the coding involved for it though The final demo may not include all the armor and weapon features.  I hope to include the stats that armor and weapons will effect, and include some basic abilities, but including everything I have designed would probably take longer than I have available to finish everything.
After designing everything and starting to get some of the basic game coded, I think the game could turn out really well.  Although I will not be able to have the entire game coded with all the features I am designing, I hope to have enough of it done to show the potential of adding features to this type of game.
My biggest problem is graphics.  I can do the coding for the gameplay, but drawing is my weak point.  The graphics for the demo will probably be rough around the edges as I don’t know anyone that could draw what I need.  Hopefully I can at least draw something decent to represent the characters in the game at least.
I would eventually like to have the equipment system in the game, but with all the features I have already designed, I don’t think it will happen.  The equipment system will allow players to use one weapon slow and one equipment slot to customize their characters looks and minor stat changes.  These minor stat changes are small things such as small movement speed changes, ball return speeds, and ball curve amounts.  This way players can customize however they want and not be penalized for going one way or another.
Including all the features I have designed for my game will be almost impossible in the time frame available, especially since I’m doing all the work alone.  I do hope to have a basic demo of the gameplay available with some skills that players can use.  Eventually I would like to work hard and finish the game with the features I came up with, but I do not think I have enough time to add everything to a demo.
