In this chapter, you will learn:
  o Define what is CMS component
  o Identify the functions of a commonly used CMS
    component

Component Content Management System
(CCMS)
  It manages content at a granular level (component)
  rather than at the document level
  o Each component represents a single topic, concept
     or asset
  o Each component is only stored one time in CMS
    • components are reused within a doc or several docs
    • ensures that content is consistent
    • each component has its own lifecycle

  o Each component has its own lifecycle
  o can be tracked individually or as part of an assembly
  o CCM can be a separate system or be a functionality
    of another content management system type

Blog
