- 1. Install the Software package using the CD-ROM. The installation process differs between UNIX/Linux/Windows. Please follow one of directions according to your platform: STEP 1 Enter http://127.0.0.1:3162 or http://<server- name>:3162 into your browser’s address bar (See “Remote Registration”). For this example, <servername> is mrtall. STEP 2 Enter the password which you have already registered in installing Software Package. STEP 3 Press the “Register Online”button 1. Install the SFLM Service using the command: /<install directory>/bin/sflm 2. Enter your password of managing the license server, which you have already specified in installing Software Package: Administrator Password:? 3. Your web browser (Netscape or Mozilla) will pop up. Note: If not, please perform Remote Registration described on the reverse side 1. Run the package installation and ensure “Licensing” is selected. 2. Enter any password when promoted, it is important to keep this for future SLFM administrative tasks. Installation on UNIX/Linux Installation on Windows STEP 4 Fill in the each blank of Email Address, Company, Telephone, Contact Name. Then click “Next” button. STEP 5 Click “Next” button again. STEP 6 When the ID with letters beginning from “0SSMID” appeared for the machine IDs, this means that registration process was completed. You must notify your vendor this ID for the license to be issued. After the vendor has sent you the license file, you need to install this file following the steps of the “Installing the License File” section below: Incaseyoucannotconnectto“http://www.sflm.net”, please perform Offline Registration. For more information , see Step 3 of Offline Registration section on the reverse side. Installing the License File If you do not intend to download your license file automatically, copy the license file to your mount or local drive so that the license server can read it. STEP 1 STEP 2 Click the “Install New License(s)” button. STEP 3 Enter the password which has already been registered through Online/Offline registration. STEP 4 Click the “Automatic Update” or “Install Saved File” button. STEP 5 If “Install Saved File” was selected in Step 4, click the “Browse...”button to locate the license file. After specifying the saved license file, click “Next”. STEP 6 Click “Show Valid License(s)” button. STEP 7 The list of available products and the number of each product will show up on the window. STEP 8 Configure each application installation to use the new serever by using sflm_access. Ensure the new server is present in the list of available servers or add it using configure->add->local server from within sflm_access. Wait until the vendor informs you the Code Name and the Activation Code, which may take several days.
